Possible causes:

1. Belt conveyor tensioned too tight.
2. No lubrication or not enough lubrication to countershaft bushings.
3. Oil groove in outer countershaft bushing in wrong position.
4. No end float.

Corrections:

• Retension belt conveyor and check sheave alignment.
• Check for some type of restriction between main oil supply line and entry hole in countershaft box.Remove any type of value or some other means of restriction in the supply line.
• Belt conveyor drive should never pull countershaft into oil groove.Never install bushing oil groove at 6 o’clock position.
• Reset end float.
