Which types of stone crusher and milling equipment are mainly used in quarry sites?
Generally speaking,we classify 2 kinds of crushers by the effects of the crushing force: 1 Stone crusher. 2 Grinding mill. For a stone crusher, which is always used for processing bigger stuff, the final product is coarse, above 8mm usually. The main feature is that there is a little space between crushing parts, crushing parts are no touching each other. Stone crusher can be classified coarse crusher, medium crusher, and fine crusher. For Grinding mill, the material is always much finer, final product is fine powder, the fitness can reach up to 0.074mm or more, The main feature of a grinding mill is crushing parts or medium touches each other, The medium is steel balls, steel bars, mineral or stone pieces. There are some crushers doing crushing and grinding jobs both, for instance, autogenous tumbling mill.
According to the crushing style & mechanical structure, six categories of crusher is classified :
1 Jaw crusher The principle is to use a fixed jaw and a swing jaw to crush the material into small pieces.
2 Cone crusher Material is crushed in the space between two roller cones one is fixed, the other is eccentrically moving, the roller cones take action with each other to crush the material.
3 Roller crusher Material is continuously crushed between the two rollers running the same direction, with grinding and polishing forces, too, what¡¯s more, the teeth shaped roller surface reinforces the crushing.
4 Impact crusher Material is crushed by the impact force from high speed rolling rotor and plate.
Hammer crusher ,Cage crusher, strike crusher included in this type.
5 Grinding mill Stuff is grinding by rollers (or steel balls, steel bars, stone or mineral pieces) in a rolling cylinder.
6 Other Grinding mill types:
A Roller mill Rolling rollers grind stuff to fine powder.
B Disk grinder The grinding parts is vertical or horizontal rolling disks.
C Centrifugal pulverizer To grinding material with eccentricity produced high speed rolling parts and medium.
D Vibrating grinding mill High-frequency vibration makes medium and material crushed with each other.
Various kinds of crushers have different specification and uses. At present, for coarse crushing jaw crusher and impact crusher cone crusher is widely used, medium crushing, jaw crusher impact crusher and cone crusher is suitable, while fine milling, grinding mill or pulverizer is needed.
